Th400 Into 3rd Gen

Has anyone out there installed a TH400 in a 3rd gen?
Engine will remain in stock position.
Tips will be appreciated.

Car: 1991 Corvette Coupe
Engine: L98
Transmission: 700R4/4L60 same trans different name
many people have done this

you will need a new crossmember, or modify your exisiting one
need to lengthen your driveshaft IIRC
and need to buy the torque arm mount kit from hurst, which may included the croessmember

you will also need a kickdown switch

not a very hard swap

Got one in mine I used the Spohn crossmember and torque arm and the stock 82 driveshaft but with a TH400 slip yoke. Haven't gotten a kick down deal, mainly because I just do it manualy. Here's a couple pictures of mine when the 305 was still in.

Thank you for your replies.
My trans has a flex plate shield and an aluminum trans shield.
Does any of this require "massaging" the floor?
Thanks again,
Bob

Kind of hit and miss it seems like. Only way to really know is to stick it in the car
