Zoom clutch is it any good?
well actualy i should be answering this myself... but here it is why is a Zoom clutch a crapy performance clutch?? mine shakes the whole car when coming off the line when its hot and i dont under stand why? it never slips under heavy accelerating or have any other problims but this, so is it because the clutch pads are so far apart and when its hot it grabs then releases grabs then releases until its all the way engaged causing this shake??? i dont get it??

I've used Zoom clutches befiore; there's nothing wrong with them. Good quality stuff.
Chatter = you should have had your flywheel turned, it has hot spots

i have a zoom clutch on my T56.... not the exact same setup as yours, but it seems to be a great clutch.. no slippage, it survived the abuse of stop and go traffic with 2.73 rear and a T56... its survived about 50 hard launches with drag slicks, and its outlasted 2 rear ends... after i have it for a year, i'll post how it lasted... ive only had it in for about 5 months now.

I've heard bad things on these clutches as far as durability. Stories of people ghaving to replace them after 3k miles of too much slippage. But then again they were just that....stories. I think if you buy them from autozone you get a lifetime warranty.

i dont know about the warranty, but ive put far beyond that on mine, and i abuse it ALOT.... i mean, on a daily basis.
most peoples clutch durability problems stem from improper installation.
