TCC Lockup Kit 700R4 (Which is best???)

Upon installing an XFI ECM on my 1987 IROC, i found out that the ECM does not support a 700r4 with TCC Lockup. I have already viewed the previous recommendations and understand what it takes to get the job done. However, i was wondering if they make an EXTERNAL only kit to make the job that much easier so i dont have to drop the pan to install a kit. Any help is appreciated. Thanx 3rd Gen...

an external only kit wont work if the stuff in the pan isnt there. Unless you know for a fact that everything is right. You can read the TCC lockup thread and do the recommended check to see if you have the N.O. switch or the N.C. switch. You can do that without dropping the pan I believe. Then you can wire it from there.

Trans Im messing with right now didnt even have a 4th gear switch installed in the valve body. So if you want it done right, drop the pan. Its not that much work and you could probably go for a filter change anyways.
