T5 swap, car dies when you push in the clutch? Help please!
Hello all,
I recently just finished an auto to T5 swap on my car. The car shifts great and everything but my speedometer wasn't working because I didn't have the electronic speed sensor gear to make it work. My problem is...sometimes when you push in the clutch the car would die. Not while shifting, but when breaking, coming to a stop, or just cruising with the clutch pushed in. I thought that it was acting this way because the speedometer wasn't working and with the 92 it is electric and it runs through the computer so I thought once I had the gear it would be fine.
Well today I put the gear on and the speedometer now works, but the car still dies when I push in the clutch.
Scares the hell out of me because when I'm going down a steep hill and I have to break I'll push in the clutch to break and the car will die and I have no power steering. So any help will be appreciated! Thanks guys.

The neutral safety switch isn't mounted to the pedal yet. I haven't been able to find the bracket that mounts it to the pedal. I just reach down and push in the switch by hand to start the car. Does that matter?

that doesnt really matter, its nor of a safty thing.
the computer needs the vss signal to properly run the engine, so that has to be finished.
you need the manual prom too

Been searching the board after your post, but haven't found much.
Where/how could I find the manual prom?

The park neutral switch is at the automatic shifter.
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...swap-made.html
A different item, the neutral safety switch isn't relevant to the stalling.
If I needed a manual prom for a 92 TBI F-body, I'd search here on thirdgen to verify the part numbers and codes (4 letters usually) so I knew the correct ones; you can use one from an 89-92 5spd car. Then the classifieds section is one way to get one.

If you need a prom I have several of them and can do some tuning as well. Any of these broadcast codes would work fine ANTR, APTY , AXKW if you are using the 1228746 ecm. Even if you don't have the correct drive or driven gear for the vss you need to find one. The vss signal from the vss buffer that the ecm uses will help control the idle air control. This sudden drop from engine load to no load and the ecm doesn't see the car moving will cause the engine rpm to fluxuate or stall. If the park neutral switch is grounded the ecm will do a adder to the idle rpm this will be let ungrounded or unpinned from the ecm.

PM sent tunedperformance.
Any other help will still be appreciated. I just had someone tell me that does tuning for a friend of mines shop that the proms are not different and that all I need to do it jump the idle up.

the spark advance and idle air control are very different. If you like I would be more than willing to send you a L03 automatic and manual .bin files for you to use the compare feature on tunerpro definition $61.
