Where does this ground wire go?

If you look on the passenger side firewall there is a braided ground wire coming from the fire wall, where does the other end go to because mine is just hanging? Also, my electric fan and light gauges are not working, the fan relay and motor are brand new, I have a feeling im not getting a good ground somewhere, also my oil pressure gauge does not work, I really think this is a ground problem as all this was working previously. I need an answer asap please, thanks.

That is a common "problem" when changing the tranny or engine. That wire gets left off the motor as its real hard to deal with whil you got a tranny on your chest trying to get some bolts started. It not a big suprise find.

i think it goes the the engine block. I remember seeing that wire when i pulled my engine.

you dont need to reconnect it, the engine/car already has like 5 ground points, and you technically only need 1.

5 is just like a safety net i guess.

the braided wire from the frewall goes to the backof the head. This does need to be connected, and is something that does usualy get forgotten about durring engine swaps and usually get forgotten about. Guilty here, just not on the one, my first swap. 77 T/A, had everything in & wouldn't run right. forgot to connect the ground strap. Remeber, unlike most GM engineering, it's there for a purpose.
