At what temp does it start to run bad?
got a laptop, you can hook a computer up to them easy winaldl, only pricy part is if you buy the cable. but buildingit is easy but not, took two tries to get a good one built for me.

Try and get a new ignition coil. I picked one up from auto zone for about 20 sumthing. Could also be bad injectors... but try that first.

Re: RUNS GOOD WHEN COLD BAD WHEN HOT
it dosent do it at any certain temp. i think it does it when it switches to closed loop. ive already checked the injectors and they were fine. Is there any way to make it stay in the open loop?

Can be the water temp sensor located into the thermostate?
Try to get it and clean using a WD40.
I have in the past an Alfa Romeo 155 with a 2.0 Twin Spark and make the same problem that you V6, and was this sensor was sending a bad info to the ECU causing a bad mixture.
I think the best idea, is buy an ALDL wire into eBay, and conect your laptop to the car and get the data info to view the sensors value and get a good analysis.

Re: RUNS GOOD WHEN COLD BAD WHEN HOT
There's a way to datalog or whatever with the 1227302 ecm?
I'll have to try winaldl I guess. Can't do it with TunerPro. Hopefully my moates cable will work.
I had a similiar problem once with my 89. Replaced the ignition coil (in case there was a hairline crack letting moisture in), and the o2 sensor. Fixed it right up.

Re: RUNS GOOD WHEN COLD BAD WHEN HOT
I'd say, it's the fuel pump. I had a "friend" replace mine and It's done something similar ever since. Lemme ask you, when it gets hot is it like you hit the gas and it wont rev high? Does it go to like 2K then start to die? Because that's what mine does and I'm 99% sure it's the fuel pump. I also have a high pitched whine comming from the pump...
I don't have the time and definitley not the money to work on mine right now so I might have to let it stay this way untill next spring...

Re: RUNS GOOD WHEN COLD BAD WHEN HOT
i jus put in a new fuel pump and sometimes it does whine but it feels lik when it switches to the closed loop it doesent get enough gas. If you stomp it it jus sputters but if u jus barley stay on the gas it is fine. I think it is the knock sensor any ideas.

Re: RUNS GOOD WHEN COLD BAD WHEN HOT
It seems like alot of questions on here deal with this issue. Im having the same problem. Everyone tends to find something that worked for them. A list of things I have either checked, replaced or am in the process of looking into are.
Fuel pump, Fuel return line, injectors, ignition coil, spark plugs, cap and rotor, fuel pressure reg, ignition module.
Try looking into those things.

Re: RUNS GOOD WHEN COLD BAD WHEN HOT
If the fuel system is tip top as well as the ignition system then I'd almost have to say there is misread at one of the sensors. Id try what one of the guys above me said and get a read on the numbers running through the ecm.
I hope you figure it out cause it sounds like you have tried everything under the sun.
