1986 Camaro 2.8L V6 headers...
Forgive me if this has been covered already, but does anyone make 1986 Camaro 2.8L V6 headers? Even NAPA had a hard time answering this question...
Also, can anyone recommend a cat-back for this engine?

No one makes headers for 2.8/3.1 3rd gens. Hedman used to make them but ceased production in about '97. I hear headers for 3.4s fit with a little massaging with a torch and pipe.
As far as Catbacks go, I made my own (kinda-sorta)

Great cars aren't bought, they are built

no no headers yet. One thing that really helps out is having a custom Y pipe made. One that actually helps blend the 2 pipes and not the T from the factory. Though the general cesus here is that the dynomax works best on our cars. I do plan on making a set of headers for my car if hedman never makes them again, if so I will have the plans diagrams for you guys to go and take to a machinist/exhaust shop so you can have them made.

I'm in middletown. This is actually for my girlfriends 86 camaro 2.8L. She recently developed cracked headers on both sides and loves it too much to sell.
After failing to find an exact replacement for the headers, I figured I'd ask here.
Thanks for all the advice, I'm scanning for 3.4 headers. And I'm not looking forward to snapping off all those bolts....

you could always get 2.8 chevy S-10 headers and cut them down.

Here's what ya get.
You get ANY exhaust manifold system from 1985 to 1995 60*V-6 F-BODY ONLY CARS!
ANY.
They all fit, perfectly. Every thing adapts perfectly.
TAKE EVERY BOLT FROM THE DONOR ENGINE you can, especially the exhaust ones!! Manifold bolts are 10mm. Exhaust are 15mm.
Go get a gasket set from Fel Pro & IF NECESSARY the matching exhaust doughbuts, they are special. Tom had a different set, that was downsized. I have a spare pair of manifold logs (to be used for another engine one day). They have the exact same doughnut I found on the 3.4 (1995) version) I swapped in. This'll set ya back about $20-$40 total. Make sure you examine the pipe from manifolds to cc. IF YA CAN, get the correct matching pipes to CC hook up, also.

Re: 1986 Camaro 2.8L V6 headers...
pacesetter makes a set with a y pipe for under 300 bucks. i got mine through jegs, and it really unchokes those stock manifolds. i have people tell me that my 2.8 lv6 sounds like a v8 with the headers no cat, and dynomax cat back w/ thrush chambered crosslow muffler. all available through jegs
