Transmission line length and size.

Car: 1986 camaro Sports Coupe
Engine: L31 350
Transmission: 89 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42 gov lock
Transmission line length and size.

One of my lines is leaking that connects to the trans and i just want to replace both lines since ones leaking. Can anyone tell me the length I need and the size of the line?

Should be 5/16, your gonna have to measure the length. It might be easier to use 2 lines per side w/ a union. You'll need a tubing bender to make those tight bends.

Iv got a tube bender so that no problem and I Want a full solid line. Less chance for a leak

I went to Carquest and bought the longest brake lines they had and made it in one piece.

okay i called and got prices for the line, its $8 for each 6 ft metal line, but they dont carry new end peices, the type that screw into the tranny and the radaitor, where can i get these or what other types of cars do they run on?

I thought I saw those fittings on e-bay or a Transmission shop could help you.

I'm pretty sure those fittings on the new lines are the same thread as your oem lines, if not then just reflare them w/ your oem fittings.
