CFM in Indianapolis did the EFI conversion and drilled the manifold for the nozzles. As for the actual nitrous plumbing, I did that. I pieced the system together myself. Not your conventional setup. Thanks for the compliment!!

As for mine the engine is no longer. I thought it was a hg, but it looks like either an oil ring got crushed or cracked #3 Anyway it is in the process of new pistons, rings, bearings new turbo,dp,some other stuff I'm not even thinking of right now. I'll be looking for 11.40's(tires permitting). As of now even contemplating a very very small shot of N2O(25-50hp) to help the intercooler out and give it a boost. We'll see whn it's done and some 50 or 60 degree weather is here.

The power plant isn't quite done just yet-still working with Larry @ ASSC to map out plans/costs for an F-2 set-up. Thought I would post some of the pics thought. This time the chassis came first, as anyone can make HP, but putting it to the pavement and making it work is a whole different story.

RU-QWIK-

I got your email, but haven't had time to sit down at my home computer and go thru the pictures I have. Before I ask about pictures of the different areas of the car, do understand that there is no back seat, and the car is not just a mini-tub, it is a full back-half tube-chassis from the firewall back. All the rear flooring was gutted directly behind the front seats and replaced with sheet metal. the only thing left stock on the rear is the hatch pull down and the interior trim, which was modified to fit back into place. Maybe you could email me again and let me know what and where you want pictures of, cause I have probably over 100 of them from the first day it went to the chassis shop, to the day I brought her home, right up to work I done since then. Here's another one for you. Bars, bars everywehere.

Here's a picture of the engine in place so that headers can be made to fit. Those are Brodix 18X heads resting on a Dart Little "M" block with billet main caps.

If you are referring to the A/C Evaporator and Receiver/Drier Assembly, I was originally going to retain the stock A/C set-up-cause it gets might damn hot here in Florida during the spring/summer months. I was bulding the engine for vast nitrous usage, but then decided to investigate a blower set-up. An F1R was the first choice, as it will fit under the hood and still work with a stock serpentine set-up, even with a cog drive. But then comes the problem of an intercooler, especially since i've started to consider an F2, and a air-to water set-up. It will probably be removed here in the next few weeks to make room for intercooler tubing. I'm hoping to sell the complete sysytem on E-bay, with any luck.

Looking really nice there 1 GTA! Im impressed! How come you didnt have a full cage done though? It appears from your picture to be only a 6 point roll bar setup. I could be wrong but with that par of work, I would have had the whole thing done. Im not backhalfed and still have the whole 9 yards so to speak. And with an F2, Id think youd need every bit of a full cage if for no reason, to be LEGAL!

Either way, great looking project! Keep us posted.

Thanks for the compliment Guido. And yes, there is a full cage inside. The FL sun was BLAZING the day I took pictures, thus making the bars (with freshly applied gun metal grey paint) appear as light sabres!! If you look closely you can make out the cagework from the different pictures I've posted. The dash bar was made to go across the dash pad, as it and the original dash will be kept. I wanted to have the doors X-braced, but with keeping the stock dash and steering column, only a TOOTHPICK of a driver could have ever gotten into it. I'm no fat azz, but no toothpick either (6'0"/230lbs). Plus with my height, the seat mounts WAY back. Here's a few pick showing the front half of the cage. Ordering a camshaft from Larry @ ASSC (Cam Motion), roller springs, retainers, and an MSD cam sync distributor today with last weeks paycheck.

Ah I see now. Looks nice!

You could have got that cross bar UNDER the dash. Here is a picture of mine when we were fitting it in. Mine is UNDER the dash pad and you cant even tell its there.

excuse the wiring mess on the floor. LOL

At the time the dash bar was installed, I was going to keep the A/C, and thus all of the ducting behind the dash itself-which left no room for a bar. But things change......

I did notice that your main hoop of the rollcage is much further forward than mine (mine is actually hidden behind the B-pillar), so I have to ask-Do you have a removeable steering wheel? I can see that you have a tilt column. How difficult is it for you to get in and out of the car? Are the seats fixed? I have tried to get in and out of my vehicle on a few occasions with a fixed steering wheel, and it's a bi*ch. There isn't enough steering column splined shaft to get a removeable hub in place (and make it work), so I guess it's time to get out the welder. Any ideas?

I want my friend brian to put my hood and wing from my 91 on it and get some 91-92 nose and G/effects but he sez "no way man".

That car weighs 2850 no driver, without any lightening so far. I am sad to say a set of draglights and a cowl hood is set for installation so more air can be brought in, I doubt it will be very sleeperish then. when you open the hood its like difficult to believe its the same car LOL.

He hasnt bought the hood or rims yet but I am trying to see if by turbo'ing it (using that GM 5 turbo I have posted) and using the ATI air cap we can keep the stock hood. AS it sits right now, when it gets started up the sleeperish manners disappear with the dual 3".

But I'm hoping a short single 3" or 4" from the turbo and a lil muffler will quell the sounds it makes until its too late to know what hit you. I am just having so much trouble getting any info on the turbo. We are considering just saying F* it and adding more nitrous or option 2 of running the turbo we have and damn it all to heck if it dont work...
