Intake is an edelbrock conversion setup for Tbi application to make it MFI. Think was a 3505 part number from edelbrock. The tbi is a stock unit from a truck. Converted the whole thing to run with a 7749 GM ecm.
Have not got to drive it much yet been having some brake problems that I am working out. But the little I have fells pretty awesome, lots of low end torque.
What kind of fabrication was involved in this!?? I want! Does anyone know of a supercharger mounted like this (on top, inplace of the intake) that's made for an LT1?
I like that he calls it a 1990 IROC-Z, since the IROC Package was from 85-89. Looks like a RS to me. Plus, the biggest problem is that the steering wheel is on the wrong side, lol. But Nice car none the less.

??? I used data from this very board and site to authenticate the car prior to buying it all those years ago...
As for the headers vs. N2O it was less about priorities and more about taking advantage of oppertunities as they came. The kit was a VERY lucky find and was a bargan.
Headers on the other hand would have to be made up for teh RHD or at the very least modifed versions on a set imported from over there. For us poor aussies its not like i can go down the street for my stuff.
In aus these arent cheap cars, and they are getting very expensive to modify.
\end life story
Check HERE for the mods ive managed to get done tho...

I don't know where that info came from, but the IROC package was a five year package: 85, 86, 87, 88, 89. I guess "missinformation comes from missinformed people". I've seen it a couple of times, but haven't seen one with the hood louvers and door markings yet.

Your correct on one point missinformed people with missinformed info, but its yourself that is wrong! the IROC package ran from 1985-1990!! Look anywhere (from here on this site to a GM ID book,) (one you could look at that I have is Camaro ID Numbers 67-93)and you will find these is true.

As far as the Steering wheel goes look at where he's from, If that doesn't explain why its on the wrong side then I don't know what to tell you.
as for the steering wheel, it was a joke, lol. I got my information from a camaro timeline in Camaro Performers magazine, but I've seen guys put those IROC emblems on all years of Camaros. You'd be suprised. BUt you're right, I very well could be the missinformed one. I didn't see the door emblems or hood louvers though.
well, I did find an article from Hot Rod Magazine about 1990 IROC being the last. But it didn't have that spoiler he has, the front air dam with the inlet thinggys, and it had the same hood louvers as the others. Here's the link. Here's the link.
Its cool everyone, i am safe in my own knowlage of my cars origins and "quirks".
The hood was replaced with a solid one at the request of the previous owner prior to spraying, as having non-functional louvers on a hood is border line **** in his opinion.
The original hatch glass was destroyed waaaayyy back when the car was imported and was replaced. The wing was added at this point as the bob-tail thing was deemed too retro looking
Originally posted by mw66nova nitrous before headers, i think i would reconsider my priorities if i were you.
you should know that the 350 exhaust manifolds aren't as bad as those on the 305...
another good thing is that they don't overheat the engine compartment like headers do (oh, they're compact too...)
I also thought that the IROC was dropped in 1991. So,
the last IROCs were made in 1990. Then, the "Z28" from
1991-1992 was the only upgrade from the RS.
Another tidbit: the "Camaro SC" was also dropped in the
1990 time. Only RSs and Z28s from 1991-1992.
Let me know if I'm wrong, but I think this is pretty legit.
