wouldn't this be a perfect place for a hidden nitrous system?
if so how would a person go by doing it? and do you think holley will make one? oh doug!!!!!!!!!
Hey B4,
both of those are useless!!! They have already released studys of the poor injector flow on the NOS Injectors and as for the plate system, they found out that it does not reach the first 2 cylinders as much as the back 6, so that why a Nozzle is the best~!
wee idn't this fun!!! like the one dude said, kinda defeats the purpose of seceret!!!! and who said the jets have to be under the manifold? shurly something could be thought up?
Jets also have the purpose of "fogging" the stream into the intake. If you want an example of why this won't work, take a garden hose sprayer and spray it down a tube... notice everything just drips out the other end.
It's not *that* hard to pull the intake off. I can pull mine in about 45 minutes, but I'll admit it'd be inconvenient.
Inconvenient??? Hell it would be a PITA ... but "hiding" a nitrous system is a MAJOR pet peeve of mine.. hell if your gonna run it .. run it.. dont wuss out and hide it...
Nobody would race my beat to hell VW for cash, titles, etc... I don't even bother asking with the Iroc.
Personally, I see installing a nitrous system like installing a car stereo. You can do a clean out in the open system, or you can do a clean hidden system. Either way, the stereo still bumps and the nitrous still burns rice.
I'm going hidden. I won't run more than a 100 shot on a ZZ4 shortblock anyway, so jet changing will be minimal. And it's not like it's that hard to pull the intake and put it back on in a couple hours. I'm all about the sleeper idea.

sure its easy to make money on the front range because all of the vette and 4th gen owners as well as the stangs have a hard time believing they will be beat by any kind of streetable third gen, they just cant see it coming
When i get a camaro and then get nos, i want under the manifold setup. But now that i see a under the manifold setup fogger system, my mind has been possible changed. I love the fogger under manifold setup. SWWWEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT.
I know this is a very old thread but none of the website URL's work. Could someone please give me a website where I can learn more about the "hidden nitrous setup?"

a friend of mine is doing something that im thinking wont work on a tpi/hsr, but i figured i could through the idea out there... he just put a 347 stroker 94 cobra motor in his 67 stang, and if anyones paid attention on the 5.0 intakes (his is a gt-40 but i think all 5.0 intakes are the same) there is a freeze plug right before the runners, he's taking that out and running a nitrous bar through it and mounting solenoids under the intake, so it would be completely hidden with the exception of the nos line running to that freeze plug hole, which he was gonna buy just some blue plastic wire loom, to match the rest of his engine compartment... i was thinking that this wouldn't work in a tpi/hsr manifold because it would be distributed unevenly to the cylinders kind of like said above with the plate system, cept id imagin the effects would be worse, the ford intake would inject it a little further ahead of the runners, giving it time to mix a little and even out among the cylinders, but maybe someone is interested in trying it out

I really want to waste about 1200 on a under the manifold kit that I have to remove the intake everytime I want to change the jets!!
I saw a system somewhere that had the jets out at the solenoids. Don't remember the brand though, but it's out there.
It's jetted for a 300 shot. The car's been a best of the time in my sig, and w/ some tweeking she'll go 11.50's on motor. So I'm hoping for very low 10's on the kit. If it's close to 10.0 then I might put 400 through it just to get a single digit pass.
