7lbs with this cam

Hey guys im picking up an A trim next week and i just wanted to know what you guys think about how my car will react to it with my cam/motor combo. Heres what i have... 355, edelbrock performers, stealthram w/ lingenfelter twin 58mm TB, 24lb injecters and a CC XR282HR w/ 1.6RR. The specs are 230/236@.050 and .545/555 lift. Im also gonna be running a small shot of nitrous when needed. I was thinking along the lines of a 50shot.
So tell me what you think

I understand that lobe separation doesnt necessarily give the overlap but it is a good indicator especially on "comp cams" cams. comp does grind a little overlap in and this will help with the boost and nitrous. You may find you can actually run more of both with that cam if you want. My JYD (see sig below), used to run 150 shot with a cam that had a massive overlap and 106 lobe sep.

So what your saying is that it will be safe to run a little more boost or nitrous with this cam??
I was just afraid that the overall size of this cam was going to be too big to make good power with boost.

I think that the cam probably has a little more overlap then you’d really want, but I think that you’ll have a bigger problem with the blower, it won’t move that much air, and I’ll bet that you won’t see more then a few PSI boost and not much added HP. Typically, a-trims should top out at about 400hp at the wheels, and the combination that you’ve got should be capable of that now assuming it’s tuned right.

I wouldn't go lower than a 112 LSA. Especially in a COmp cam that has a built in 4 degree advance on the ICA. My cam would be a little better for your setup (cc XR276HR-12)

.503/.510
224/230 @.050
112 LSA
108 ICA

Then just use 1.6 rockers.
