looking for knowledge on super/turbo chargers

who would like to explain the difference between superchargers as well as turbo chargers and which ones work best for our cars and why? even if its brief, that would be cool. thanks in advance

they basically do the same thing... force air into your engine, but a super charger is belt driven, and so boost is instantaneous, well theres a little lag with centrifugal, turbos run off the exhaust and dont make boost till 2500-3500 rpms typically.. as far as whats better for your car i can only give you an opinionated answer... i would go with the holley powercharger (roots style supercharger) that works with the tbi systems, its listed in jegs as being for 86-95 trucks, but i believe it will work on camaro tbi systems aswell, unless your wanting to build a high HP motor/race motor then i'd go turbo, not to say that turbos make more power though...
