Which weight of motor oil does anyone recommend for a twin turbo tpi 355? I read somewhere that the Twin Turbo Callaway Corvettes in the 80's used 20w-50. I'm also running an oil cooler if that makes any difference.

the quality of the oil would be more important then the weight.... with the heatsoaking alot of turbos have, and the worry of coking, i would run a full, real synthetic.... Mobil 1 would be my choice... and if its a fresh built motor, id run 5w30 in it.
if you let it idle down, and change the oil often, you can use any high quality ASH based oil....
just stay far far away from wax based oils like penzoil, walmarts, ect...

well according to turbo guru's thinner weight oil allows them to operate more efficiently and spool faster. How much faster is the real question though.

you wouldn't notice the difference its that small, but i still run 5W-30 in every turbo car i own.... plus amsoil makes a sinthetic turbo formulated oil which is my first choice
