How do I get this turbo apart?

I have a garret turbo off a pontiac 6000 I need to get apart. It's off the car. There where some bolts between the exhaust impeller and the intake impeller. They were screwed into the exhaust side. Anyway I took them out(one broke off ) But all that came off was this metal ring.
Next I took off all the bolts on the other side of the exhaust impeller. This just made the end curved peice come off, but now I can see both impellers.
I assume I have to seperate the impellers but how? Is there a screw cap on the center of one end or something? How do I stop the blades from turning when i try to take it off. Or is there some other way they come apart. What else do I need to take apart to seperate this thing. There are oil and water lines running to a center part between the impellors, but I can't see how they would be holding the two end together.
Thanks

Generally, turbos have 3 main components. First is the intake and exhaust housings. The third is the center section cartridge. Those bolts hold a metal ring that clamps the exhaust and intake housing to the center section. Once the bolts are loosened, you should be able to rotate the housing. If the ring is removed, the housings should pull off. At least that is how my T04E turbos are.
