That is funny. He is probably one of the only people I would listen to when talking about boosted stuff and anything about engine dymanics in general.

BlownBird, What's up with all that smoke coming from your car in you sig. pic? Looks like it is time for a new set of rings.........9's with bad rings? That is impressive. How is the A/W IC working out?

I agree, I was just taking a shot at him, he know's I'm just playin' around.

LOL, that's just the tires not cooperating. and correct that, it finally went 8's. As for the cooler, it's my copilot, seems to be working out fine. It's my heat in the winter, and my A/C in the summer.

I knew you were messing around....I was too. I have seen the video of a 9 sec. run you did. It was plain cool to see a car launch that soft and do 9.1x in the 1/4 mile.

Well, Ok, I might have a clue.

Actually, he’s changed enough times that I don’t remember exactly, I know that they’re at a 1:3 ratio (the blower is spinning 3x as fast as the engine) and the one on the blower is the smallest one he could find that would clear the stock machined snout, to go smaller he’d have to get the thing machined down. I’m pretty sure that it measured 2.5” but I don’t remember if that was to the top of the ribs, bottom of the ribs, overall diameter or what. It’s a 6 rib belt.

No real idler, but it does have a spring tensioner with and idler on the arm I guess. I think the thing is from a ford truck (we found it in a pile of explorer parts at the scrap yard about to be recycled, don’t really know what it is).

The crank pulley is whatever is 3x the blower pulley, it’s actually a vortech or possibly an ATI blower pulley for a 5.0 mustang…
