I think a gp on the header/ headers only would be better as opposed to a complete kit. That way we could get them the work and people wouldn't have to crunch themselves financially to get into the turbo game. I myself will be using a different turbo and drivers side header.
Some guys may find other turbos easier/cheaper or piece together the rest of their project as they see fit. At this point at least they could grab the header before it discontinues even if they don't ever complete it just to keep the money flowing in the right direction to keep BBS in the mix.

Just for the record I contacted ssautochrome inquiring about a single turbo header or complete kit for our thirdgens. Their response was that they have no such system. When I informed them of this post and its' contents all they had to say about it was that it was hilarious.
Hello everyone. For those of you asking about our kits and stuff, yes we are discontinuing them. We already got sold out our last parts we had on stock, but we are keeping the jigs and some flanges around for our personal projects.
The reason; SS Autochrome. Someone bought our kit as you all know send it China or God knows where and copied. They are now making exact cheap copies of our sweated and hard devloped kit. The sorry thing is that they are making it them so dam nice looking that anyone could be fooled and get hooked by the looks "wow, stainless steel", and any buyer will get a show quality setup, but just that and only that. I bet that those headers will crack like fresh soda crackers after a while of use, but the sad thing is that they are so cheap and good looking that anyone will be tempted and fooled by these copies.
The solution; we will not work our ____ out to develop any more kits for them to copy. We are also a stainless steel sheet metal fabricators for the pharmaceutical industry so we are going to concentrate more on that area.
The sad thing; Those of you who wanted to get a good quality and long lasting kit, but since we dont know how differ the true buyer from the China spy, we discontinued the kits. We are still offering other parts but no headers and or kits.

Single turbo header only may interest me. Either way it would be nice if BBS kept their header jigs and maybe just marketed the headers by themself, believe it or not their are still people out there that will pay for quality work.

I am in as long as the price is good and its not the whole kit because i already have the turbo and wastegate.
i would like to know if its going to be a sure thing i would like to have the single race kit but it needs to be able to clear my tall valve covers i emailed him before about this he said it wouldn't be a problem to make the changes

You guys know as much as I know.. I really thought we were gonna get more people in on a possible group purchase.. I'll give it a day or two and I'll talk to BBS designs show him this thread.. ect ect. I was hoping they'd see this thread and respond. Cross your fingers..
TexasDude74: I think I saw one of their turbo headers on ebay. Regardless of who copied who... there's only a few ways you can make a turbo header. People are going to who's cheaper.. if SSA fixes their welds, why not use that product if it will save you $500 or more? not that I care.. mine are one-offs fabbed locally.
BBS, i just saw this, that really sucks. For everyone else, i have just BBS's single turbo header. (probubly the first header he sold) I have had the header on my car for 3 yrs now. Not one crack. No problems at all with it and not to be full of myself, but i'd say that the header is designed pretty good by the results of my car.

How many of you guys are REALLY (cash in hand) interested?
Good News!! For those of you REALLY interested, I will be making a last run of turbo headers.
The business now had gone in a totally different direction and I rarely, and only use my jigs for making turbo systems for friends, special requests, or for me (I am not going to sell the jigs so please dont ask). That is the reason why this will be the last run. Also, in the past, too many people told us that wanted headers but that was only a waste of phone time and wasted emails, that's the reason why I am only asking for those that are REALLY (cash in hand) interested. I am very sorry for being a bit harsh, but I hope that everyone understands.
Again, for those that are REALLY interested I will be making a new thread named: "BBSDesigns Turbo Headers; The Last Run". In that thread which will be starting today and ending 30 days from today, people interested will be writting down their request, then emailing me at bermudezbrainstormingdesigns@hotmail.com with the complete shipping information.
I will only be offering headers, sorry no turbos or anything else, just headers. The only headers I will be offering are:
1) Race Single Turbo Header for V belt. For use with V belt setup with or without the A/C. This header is the same as Tim "TurboedTPI" is using on his Turbo Firebird with the serpentine belt setup, but with no A/C. (600+ hp). $500.00 ea.
2) Race Single Turbo Header for Serpentine Belt. For use with serpentine belt setup with or without the A/C. This header is a very tight fit, the cold section of the turbo can't be too large or it will hit the valve cover, we recommend a 60-1 Hi Fi or equivalent turbocharger. (500-550 hp). $500.00 ea.
3) Street & Strip Twin Turbo Headers. For use with both V belt or serpentine belt setups with or without A/C. Twin full TO3 turbos are to be used. The passengers side turbo's wastegate actuator might need (depending on the turbo) to be modified a little to fit and clear the A/C dryer and hard line. (600hp). $900.00 per pair.
4) Race Twin Turbo Headers are not going to be offfered, sorry too time consuming, unless he or she is willing to wait. How long? two to three months. $1600.00 per pair.

ok bbs, you have lots of people on this site and others that are willing to buy your kits. and not the ssautochrome crap. they have already copied the stuff. what more do your guys really have to lose? If everyone that knows of your kits and what happend with ssautocrap, then get some decent patents and copyrights and start building kits! I dont have the funds for that stuff to be done to my car right now, but within a year i might and It would be nice if guys like me (underdogs with scores to settle) could get a fair price on a decent turbo kit. someones going to fill this markets need at one point or another for a good turbo kit that doesnt cost an arm or a leg. Id like to see you guys be the people to see!!!! So they stole the design. they cant steal the quality. f*** um!
Hey, sorry if I got alittle harsh in my reply above. I didnt see the second page of the tread before I posted that. I did my research and see your in buisness with selling the headers again. but It would be cool if one day bbs could make the full kits single, twins, intercooled....etc.
