I want to run a vortech s-trim on my 89 formula. The only problem is that it has 103,000 miles on it. it still runs pretty strong, but for how long? if i only run 5 or 6 pounds of boost should i b ok? im leaning towards being patient and doing a rebuid 1st. but how would i love to here the nice whining of a charger under the hood! ------------------ 89' Firebird Formula WS6 L98, MSD 6AL MSD Blaster, Hypertech chip, K/N filter cone,flowmaster 80 series, hypertech air foil, koni shocks, edelbrock trailing arms more to come soon.....

Impossible question to answer. Nobody knows the condition of the engine's internals at that mileage. Can't predict if the engine will "blow up". I would seriously consider a rebuild before adding a blower, personally.
