Shouldn't be anything stoping me from turbocharging my stock 305 TBI Camaro Rs right?

Or is there something I might wanna do first, other than headers and open element.

I've already got headers and flowmaster and that ****. thats why I asked, there isn't anything i need to do to my 305 before adding a turbocharger right? Some one told me you had to have TPI but I think he was bull****ing me.

TPI is better for a turbo. TBI will have problems getting all that fuel and forced air through the throttle body at the same time and still have good fuel distribution. you could get an old school supercharger that pulls air. It goes under the TBI.

just some kinda turbo manifolds/headers, the turbo(s) themselves, all the exhuast/piping work, bonnet to fit on the TBI, fuel system of some sort, etc, etc.

its not buy a turbo and toss it on with a dryer hose type of thing

look at Mustang and 4th gen kits and see how much crap they come with. that will give you idea of what it needed. Fitment of all the exhuast parts is the worst part

Alright, I will go slow for you.

Turbo. How does it run? You route all the exhaust from all 8 cylinders into one side of the turbo called the turbine side. The exhaust gases spin the impeller inside of this housing. The impeller is connected to a shaft that goes to the other side of the turbo called the compressor side. There is an impeller connected to that side which sucks air into the turbo and pushes it out the turbo.

To route all your exhaust to the turbo, you will need something that routes all the gases to the turbo. This negates the need for any commerscially available headers. You will be forced to use either a pair of cast iron manifolds (which are difficult to find) or have headers custom built to route all gases to the turbo.

Next, you will need to route all the air pulled in from the compressor side to the intake. You will have to have this as a sealed tube from the turbo to the throttle body so as not to lose the air, or pressure from the compressor. Hence, an open element is not going to do you any good.

Here are some examples of what a typical turbo system might look like although for our cars, will not be like these:
