P600B vs P-1SC

What's major difference between the two? One is self-contained, one isn't, what's that mean?

As far as I know the self contained unit does not require you to run seperate oil lines. You just use the oil ATI gives you and change it out of the supercharger every 6000 miles.

I think there are other things like the gears and stuff but some other people here know alot more than me.

Both have billet impellers.P1sc is self contained,P600B uses engine oil.P1SC has a 4.10 step up ratio,P600b has a 3.05 step up ratio.Go here to see it all.

I went to that page, and that's why I was asking what's the major difference. I don't know what step up ratio is, didn't know what self-contained meant, and the most of the rest was the same.

Okay sorry I help you out.Basically step up ratio relates to the gears in thew blower.A bigger step up ratio means you can run a wider diameter blower pully for certain boost, wider is better, compared to the P600bs 3.05 to 1.For example my D1sc has a 14 psi pully on it and it is 3.70 inches across the face of the pully,My older P600b If I remember correctly the 15 lb pully they offered for it was only about 2 inces across the face. The more belt you can wrap aropund a pully the less slip you will get.Self contained only means that the blower is self oiled, like a rear end for example, you fill it up with the required amomount of oil and forget about it,just check it periodically.
