supercharging an 87 IROC 5.7L

I want to purchase a ATI supercharger, but the kit applies to 88 and newer.... apparently due to the serpentine belt system. Anyone made a conversion... how difficult is it... parts... or is there an easier way? I do have A/C on the car... really want the ATI due to it's intercooler system. THANKS!
