Fogger plates for Super Rams?????

Tell me what you think... A friend of mine has a NOS Pro Shot(8 nozzles) that he wants to put on his 383. We have been playing around with several different ways to do this. What we decided on was to fabricate two 3/4" thick spacers to fit between the runners and the SR plenum. We would then drill a tap four holes on each for the nozzles.

You all think this would work?????

BTW...the only reason we are using the Pro Shot is that he already has it, and he likes the looks of fogger systems.

There is not any room to put the nozzles right into the top of the runners right below the box? I think that would work if you put it right below where the box and the runners bolt together... Just a thought. I think if you put a spacer, youd need a cowl hood. Unless already has one

The motor is going into a street rod, no hood . We are putting the plates between the box and the top of the runners.
What we did was take a plenum to runner gasket and tranfer the image into a CNC milling machine. We set it up so that the plate is threaded, the runners and plenum bolt to it. I know that bolts inside the plenum does not sound like a good idea. But we are planning to use bolts that have provision to be safety wired.

I'd love to get my SR modded to use bolts inside the plenum and then just safety wire them. I'm planning on doing the work this winter for that...

Personally I would put them into the side of the plenum "shooting" down towards the runners.

The guy that I bought my superram from had done the same thing, drilled and tapped the walls of the plenum box for fogger nozzles, but he had to use aluminum plates inside the box to give the nozzles something more to thread into. I didn't like the idea of those nuts in the plenum, so I had it welded up.

Maybe you could have the plates welded instead of bolted on?
