New Spark plugs for 200 shot

I'm about to up my Camaro's nitrous jet from .070 to .078 and I'm needing to step a heat range colder on the plugs. I've been running the Bosch Super's and they work ok but I'de like to get something a little more reliable (changing these every month is getting old). I have a Holley module, MSD 6a, and a Holley laser coil on the car now with a new set of ACCEL 8.8 plug wires. I was considering going with Autolite or Denso plugs but I've heard that I shouldn't run resistor plugs with an aftermarket ignition, and I'm not sure which plug I should run (I'm thinking 2 heat ranges down, typical projected tip). Any advice would be highly recommended.

If you are wanting to run a projected tip plug, you may want to try an Autolite 3910. This is a cold projected tip plug that I run wth up to a 250 shot. Anything above a 250 shot and I run a non-projection tipped 3933 or 3932 (colder than 3923). The following link is from Autolite's website and you might be able to use it to cross your current plug to an Autolite: http://www.autolite.com/pdf/auto_crossref_0311.pdf

I'm using the autolite 3923-3922's with no problems. 2 heat ranges colder than the stock 3926.

Is that what you're running in the Vega?

The plugs it calls for now are simply Autolite 24's. This is going in a TPI engine with the 5/8 plugs. Not sure if I specified that or not. Will the 3910 interchange with this or do I need to get an Autolite 22? I was looking at the NGK TR6's but i had a set of the TR55's crack porcelain on me and the YR55's (non projected) ran like CRAP.

What follows is from my experience and may not work for you:
The 393x 391x 392x are all 3/4" reach 5/8" hex head plugs, they will work with an AFR 210 head in a third gen chassis using Hooker 1-3/4" long tube headers (part #2210?). I don't have experience with other heads/header combinations. I think the Autolite 24, 25, 26, etc is for use with the factory iron head, I am not sure about this but it could be easily researched online. As for the difference between projected and non-projected; a projected tip plug exposes more of the insulator tip to the combustion chamber and holds heat. The major task of a nitrous motor is trying get heat out of the motor after combustion occurs. I get lower ets and higher trap speeds when running projected tip plugs. But I will not run a projected tip plug above a 250 shot for fear of melting a plug and losing part of it into the combustion chamber.
