Paxton SN93 Vs SN2000

Hello,
Does anyone know what the difference is between the SN93 and the SN2000? Airflow, performance, reliability?
Thanks in advance.

Dan,

The main difference between the sn2000 and the 93 are internal design. They flow the same cfm. If you get the unit for under 1000 bucks, it's a deal. I purchased mine from a friend on this board for 1200 plus some extra's. I ran hi 12's or low 13's consistantly when the engine was stock. A lot of people hate the paxtons becasue they breakdown frequently. If you don't over rev them, keep them cool with an oil cooler, you will be fine! i've had mine since 1999 and learned how to rebuild the unit @ superchargerhelp.com I had to rebuild mine twice and it's easy! Now, if you are spending 2000 or more, spend the extra cash and get a procharger. But for a supercharger that's inexpensive, easy to rebuild, and decent performance, the paxton is a good unit.

I forgot to tell you, you can get the modified impeller which will produce between 8-9lbs of boost. I can almost get 9.5lbs. The upgrade from paradise wheels costs only 100 bucks and well worth it. They also make a VR4 upgrade kit. I purchased the kit for 700 bucks, but I could only get 10psi and then the boost would fall off like mad! I sold it and put a nitrous kit in addition to my supercharger, problem solved.

I have a 91 Z 5.7, AFR heads, LPE blower grind cam and all the goodies except a ford 9 I hope to remedy that soon
