http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/po...stributor.html (weird issue with my distributor)

here is the post

Now the car will start but its very hard to keep it running and only runs for about 6 seconds with me pedaling the hell out of it. I did also replace the pu- coil. Today I will get a new map sensor and try that 2 years ago my map went bad and left me stranded by the road. I guess I'am realy getting frustrated I don't even have someone to help me like turn the motor over while I try to check the timing with a timing light. I did try leaning it out under 2000rpm but seemed to make it worse.

obeymybird What town our you in?

Things replaced
ICM
pu coil
verify rpm signal at ecu
bypassed msd coil and mallory ignition with factory coil so coil/ignintion box our not the issue
My tps read 19 with engine of and runs up to 94 when floored.
Maybe my new ford style tps is goofed I bought it new from precsion turbo
Tried running demo start up from FAST file
injectors are all good reading 2.7 72# low impedence

yes I got it figured out. I had a coil wire at a connector that was just about cut in half. In the process of cranking and misfiring for 3 weekends i fouled the plugs. I put a new set in and it runs ok, now I just need a good tune with my new single plane setup.

awesome, I figured it had to be something small and stupid. Its always them little things that get over looked.

as I said I had a wire pinched before and took me weeks to track it down also.
