Old Paxton Blower questions VR4

Hello,
Any info would be very helpful. Does anyone know what the difference is between the SN93 and SN2000 chargers?
I think the drive is different but what about it is different? I assume that SN93 is for 1993 and SN2000 is for the years?
Also are the VR4 available anymore?

Thanks

you can find VR4's but they are difficult to find. Craig @ paradise wheels sometimes finds the VR4 upgrade kits and sells them for $700 bucks.

sn93 and 2000 are similar, just a few differences of how the internals put pressure on the ball drive.

Thanks for the info, I did contact paradise wheel and they wanted $1400 for the upgrade! It might be rare but with the new technology out there the price make it useless.
Oh well.
So is the SN2000 a better design that is more durable?

I had two VR4's! the first time I had the upgrade kit, I could not get more than 8psi boost! soo many factors to make the VR4 to run right. I later ran into another vr4 for a good price, then purchased an 8 rib belt system so I could get more belt grip. The vr4 causes massive belt slippage due to the resistance of the ball drive. With the 8 rib set up, I could almost get 11psi but my belt would still slip. I soon sold the VR4 a second time. I had to constantly rebuild my vr4 because the increased tenstion on the ball drive would eat the bearings, I could never seem to get consistant boost out of mine. I have friends who have the vr4 and have had good luck with there kits, mostly mustang guys. I finally sold it, got an NX N2O kit with a harris progressive controller and now my Z is where I want it to be. If you get a paxton for a good price, they are an ok supercharger. I got mine from a friend and he upgraded to a procharger. In the long run, I wish I would I had paid the extra cash and purchased a procharger
