****. I've been out of it for ages. What happened to BBS? He was a total legend! That is a damn shame.

Re: Turbo Kit?

what happened was that the stuff was too expensive for what it was...then some company made a set like BBS' kit that was cheaper in price and his business disappeared.

Re: Turbo Kit?

I believe it was SSAC (ssautochrome) that stole his design and put BBS out of business...

Re: Turbo Kit?

Yeah, SSAutoChrome used their design and people were buying the cheap ripoffs instead of the quality product. As for overcharging, I'd have to disagree there. He had very reasonable prices and a great product. But thats just my opinion.

Re: Turbo Kit?

I see SSAC has some kits on ebay right now, $1000ca for both turbos, headers, intercooler and some goodies...

Even at that price i would be happy to only get a few moths of driving out of it! lol

Interesting. SSAC is no longer on EBAY USA, but still on EBAY Canada. I wonder what happened.

43000 sales and they have over 98% positive feedback, how bad can the stuff really be?

Re: Turbo Kit?

True, their is still ALOT of fabbing to do with a twin turbo setup like that. All they did was take care of the simple and usually very expensive parts!

Re: Turbo Kit?

I'd be hesitant to buy their turbos. yea their headers had a bad rep for a while... they had bad quality control..but for how little they cost.. spend some time making two brackets to support the weight and the headers will last a little longer. no turbo header will last forever, you'll have to replace them sooner or later.
