Homemade turbo 305? Project junkyard.

Can I turbo a carb'd car using a system like this...(please keep in mind I really dont care if it looks good or anything, I just think its cool and want to make it work...thats all)

I was planning on flipping my headers 2460-1 coated 1 5/8 hooker shortys and bolting a unit to each header of whatever turbos I could find! After that piping the intake charge to a pressure box built on the carburator, like a Vortec kit for belt superchargers. No kidding. I know I can get turbos from U-pull-it for $20 and I am a fair welder with access to the materials to build a flange to make it work. But what do I need to do to the carb to make that work. I can bump up the fuel pressure to 14 psi if need be. After that do I bump up the jetting on the carb? Any help is appreciated.

Check out www.turbomustangs.com. Many people are running carbs with boost there. You need to boost reference the fuel press. reg.

You can build it if you have a welding machine and something to cut pipes and steel in general.
