Nice work. Is that all 16ga. steel with a a 2.5" cross-over.

I like that intake with the custom alum. elbow. That kind of looks like a Vic. Jr. Did you make the TB to intake alum. elbow and install the fuel rails and injector bungs?

Any more pics of that?

REALLY nice work! Good design layout. There's just one Q, how on earth did you plumb the exhaust out of the turbine?! It looks very close to the block.

EDIT: nevermind I see that pic now

The pictures don't do this system justice! Seeing them in person is like a work of art- almost too good to put on the car.

Re: single turbo kit built for a friend in Chicago

in most cases the owner will provide me with the turbo and wastegate, atleast that has been my experience. but i have done some where i have provided all the items and all the owner has to do is finish his exhaust. i give you a down pipe all the way to the bellhousing. As for what size turbo i can fit under the hood petty much anythin. Here are some pics of my current kit. the turbo is a TV- series out of a detroit, its one of the bigger ones. as for price it ranges with the coponents you want to use Tial, hks, turbonetics, etc but it will not exceed 4.5K unless you go with a garrett ball bearing gt47 those ball bearing turbos are nor cheap. Let me know what size turbo u want to run and what brand components (Wastegate BOV intercooler) you want to use and i can give you a number. Also keep in mind that this is not using stainless steel, that will bump up the price up some. Hope you like the pics.

my twin setup put 580 to the wheels on 9 psi with POS iron heads and my stock unported TPI which is long gone. As for this one i am waiting to finish all the bodywork on my car and shoot some paint and see what it will do, All i can say is i think i will make an easy 800HP to the wheels on low boost.

Francis.

Good numbers. What turbo are you going to use on the single setup?

Re: single turbo kit built for a friend in Chicago

I think it is great that you are building turbo setups for the Camaros. Not many out there doing it.

Bigger TV series out of a Detroit, huh. Not giving away the actual unit. I can understand that since most people don't want the prices driven up. The info is out there already though. The real question.....what RPM do you make full boost at on that stock TV unit?

Re: single turbo kit built for a friend in Chicago

I am using a TV-8513 its good for 1200+HP, the smallest turbine housing for this turbo has an A/R of 1.23 but i had John @ majestic in Waco machine a .96 A/R housing so that will make things better in the spooling department, and if it dont there is always a 75 shot of nitrous to wake the sucker up. i Also dont think RPM will be an issue because i can wind my motor to 8K so even if i start making power @ like 5K like most hondas with big turbo's, i have 3K to hold on to dear life and like i said 75 shot of Nitrous should fix that problem.

@NGIGE

I have an LO3 TBI that im looking to use to power my Daily Driver Drifter Camaro.

I would like to get 400ft lbs out of it. Which I have seen 450ft lbs out of the LO3..the guy is on these boards that has his up there...

but

I say within the 2008-2009 winter I should be in the premises of tuning heads and cam....we'll see. Any suggestions (parts, tune, internals) as to what I should do to prepare for a turbo setup (if possible to get one through you at that time)...as I also live in Ohio.

that doesn't fit an f-body does it? Looks like it would run right into the motor mounts on an f-body...

NGIGE, it’s been 7 months, has that setup run yet? A TV85… is one big honking turbo…

You don’t have any pictures of that down pipe going past the starter/frame and to the exhaust, do you? Is that a 4”?

Nice job getting that TV85 in there. I have started doing a S400 install and have the turbo in the same place. What are you doing for the air intake / air cleaner?
