well i have another dilemma, i can't decide on the cam i am going to run......
it's going in a 355 forged assembly..... eagle 4340 crank, h beams and speedpro l249f-30 pistons.. it will have a 150 - 200hp shot of nitruous or some boost..... i am going with the sfi setup everyone is converting to utulizing a ls1 411 pcm, but i want a huge hyd roller cam and can't decide which would be best for maximum output considering nitrous or boost......if comp had a larger xfi cam i would go with it, but the 292 is the biggest they have, the 294hr-10 extreme energy cam is big, and i don't mind a good cam, it's basically a weekend machine anyway.....
all help and creative input is welcomed and severly appreciated!
thanks!

afr 195 eliminators 75cc chambers, compression will be in the 9.0:1 range with the stealthram intake and svo 30lb injectors.....
i have the stealram, and bbk 58mm throttlebody.... going to run an afpr and already have a brand new walbro 255lph pump ready to go in.... so i don't think fuel will be a problem....
i want to max out the afrs, no reason to have serious heads if you can't get the max potential out of them...... so mild cams is out of the question, the littlest cam will be the 292 xfi..... i am wondering what will make more power, the xfi 292 or the xe294hr-10...... it would be nice to make over 450hp with just the motor, that would be sweet..... this go around everything will be in detail, built to exacting specs, no errors will be even allowed..... i am also going to run file fit rings... gapped for a power adder.... also if i run say a 200 shot, shall i have to run a dual stage setup? the supercharger will either be a d1sc or p1sc, which ever will give me up to 12lbs boost......
basically, i want a thumper, somthing that will flat out get it.... and i hope i am on the right path..... combined with all the suspension, and 9" with the 4.56's i think that it will defanantly scoot down the 1/8 mile which is basically all we have around here, and the t56 will be fun on the street as well....
so what ya think? 292, or 294???? which would be best?

if your considering a blower down the road, why dont you just run a blower grind now?
those big cams will need alot more compression to get best results out of them. 9.0 to 1 is not good for those cams, but once you add supercharger it will be ok. 12lbs is a good amount of boost, so a larger duration split cam may be needed.
But out of those two cams, i'd go XFI 292 hands down. much superior cam but you will need good springs to handle it. AFR's standard 8017 spring should be shimmed up atleast .045-.060" to get the right spring pressure for that cam's lobes. It should still handle the lift of that cam after shimming if you run 1.5 rocks. I think it will handle 1.6's but its getting closer to coil bind and will weaken spring life. AFR will upgrade your 8017's to the 8019s which is a GREAT spring for 103 bucks. Thats what i'm doing. I'd recommend that too. set those springs up on a 1.800 installed height for a good 159lbs on the seat. XFI lobes have some aggressive profiles. Once you add boost, tough spring will help even more.
Plus the 113 lsa on the XFI cam will be more nitrous/boost friendly. I'd still like to see another 4-6 degrees of duration for nitrous/boost, especially boost. But you should be ok without it.
you can run a single stage 200 shot just fine. With HSR tho i'd look at direct port injection for that large shot to make sure you have best nitrous/air distribution.
