tunerzimage ebay turbo kit

tunerzimage is selling a turbo kit for our cars on ebay for $1000. Is this too good to be true? --- substandard parts that will break?

Thanks!
Bill

Re: tunerzimage ebay turbo kit

Post a link but I would worry about to things more than anything turbo specs and the most important the headers. As the downfall of alot of headers is the lack of support for the turbo. The amount of heat the headers with see is a ton. It may be possible to fab a bracket to hold the turbo. Have to see pics of it installed!

Re: tunerzimage ebay turbo kit

I like the turbos infront of the motor so there are no k-member issues. But both kits look like the tubes are just not a kit but just pieces added in! Could be wrong!

Re: tunerzimage ebay turbo kit

i've been looking at them but i seen discussion that they use cheap unreliable turbos, and they state that they use iron manifolds and then state that they use stainless steel ones

Re: tunerzimage ebay turbo kit

we if you look close the secong kit, those headers will have the turbo sitting sideways...no good, i was going to use this kit until i discovered this...makes it almost impossible to instal as is...

the first kit has the right header setup, eventho it looks like its going to be really tight...but im going to go with the second kit, even tho its all aftermarket parts...no name stuff...look at my topic twin turbo headers its been discussed to death...

Re: tunerzimage ebay turbo kit

Does anyone see any exhaust piping? the turbo uses a v-flang.

Re: tunerzimage ebay turbo kit

You can put that kit together seperately using the same ebay for less than $1k. This is not a true "kit" per say, but just gives you the parts you need to get started. It's missing the downpipes and you will probably have to cut the piping.

The headers are obviously not cast.

As far as the comment about the turbo not being any good, I used one on my car with no problems and another member here put ~30k miles on his, again with no problems. No complaints, especially for a $200 brand new turbo.
