Procharger FMU Q's

I have a 305 TPI.... lookin to get a D1sc kit...

I know that's the stage II kit, but I wanted to use it at low boost with FMU to enjoy it and later, when I get another engine, then turn up the boost and get a custom tune / computer to monitor boost...

So for those that have used the FMU, I know its not the ideal way, but do you think I should be ok with 8 or 9 lbs of boost?

After dropping that much coin on a system, I just wanna have some fun with it and later really wake it up...

Re: Procharger FMU Q's

I had a 91 also which is speed density. The FMU wouldn't do **** for me. The FMU increased pressure, but it didn't help my air/fuel ratio at all. The rest of the kit is great.

So what did you do?....

Please don't say, "bigger injectors, custom tune, upgraded computer to monitor boost", etc...

you are going to need bigger injectors and tune and also the fmu depending on how big of injectors you go with.

Re: Procharger FMU Q's

Getting bigger injectors means re programming the ecm and for that, might as well run the 749 Boost sensing code or something...

So no one with a 305 tpi has been able to use the supplied FMU @ low boost?
