Finished up the nitrous install..tbi guys might want to take a look

I bought a single fogger kit off a friend of mine. Originally designed for a 5.0 mustang i decided to make it work on my 305 tbi car. Being my first time using a power adder, much less nitrous, i took the time, did alot of reading and research and found ways to make the kit work. One question i know alot of guys on the tbi boards have is spraying a single fogger basically onto the injector pod. Thats pretty much what i did but tried my best to not spray it DIRECTLY onto the pod. I had a good friend of mine make an intake "hat" similar to the one spectre sells and decided to drill and put the fogger nozzle about 5 inches out. I am quite pleased with the results. I sprayed it all last night and never had a problem, car runs great. I am currently spraying a 100 shot on it. I did have a few issues with the kit though, mainly a stuck open nitrous solenoid ( a piece of what looked like gasket material was wedged in there?) and then my inline shrader valve had a slight leak. Then i woke up in the morning to get the right jets when i realized the bottle was empty. After fixing all these problems i got the chance after work last night to hit it and the car lives to tell about it. So now that im addicted to nitrous i am looking into a built tranny since i did notice a little bit of slippage when on spray so thats next on my list. Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

very clean setup and motor. as for the schraeder valve leak if you have the hardline teed off with compression fittings tighten them more and make sure theyre in the right spot if tightening doesnt help. as for the gasket stuck in the solenoid to prevent that get a filter either the 1/8 npt/4an inlet fitting with a screen or an inline 4an/4an filter which is better. to get it out you can take the solenoid apart or activate it open and blow it out.

Looks like a nice job. Your friend should sell those "hats" to us TGO guys for a cut... You can change your sig now too!
I've been working on putting together a kit for mine. So you're getting some slippage from a 100 shot? I guess I should prepare for that. Thanks for the info. Good job.

Re: Finished up the nitrous install..tbi guys might want to take a look

Yea just a slight bit, if i manualy shift it it seems to do fine, i think i just spray at a low rpm and it tried to go back into 1st on spray and thats where i saw the slippage. Thanks for the compliments guys. My shrader valve wound up not leaking, the o ring from the main feed line to the shrader valve had disintegrated ha dumbass me probably got a non fuel o ring or something. Yea idk how the gasket material got in there..the screen was intact so its like it came in from the nozzle side. Well whatever the case all is well now. I will talk my friend about the hat thing. He charged me 60$ to make it so its not too much less then a spectre one, which is also alittle cleaner looking...unless you like the "fabricated look" like i do heh. If enough people are interested i will see what i can do.

You should probably put a blow down tube on that bottle, safety you know.

back from the dead!!...

how is the nitrous working out for ya, any problems ever come about from running it like that vs. using a plate system? i'm considering running a system like that since a single nozzle fogger type kit is cheaper

the plate systems almost always hit harder than the foggers...

Re: Finished up the nitrous install..tbi guys might want to take a look

well, its not really more power. But if you have a 100hp shot, 100hp doesn't always make it into the combustion chambers. There are alot of factors involved, but normally a plate gets more of that 100hp into the chambers since its after the throttle blades and closer in the intake track/path...
