What turbo are you guys using with your BBS headers?

Hey,
You guys running single turbo setups with the BBS Designs header... what turbo are you using?

I'm in the planning stages of a single turbo setup. It looks like the BBS header really limits the size of the turbo you can use (hood clearance). So I'm just curious what turbos you guys are using.

I believe the kits used to come with 60-1 or 62-1's IIRC Turbo TPI is in the 10's with one of those turbos

The header can handle a full T-76 with the hood closed.

T72 here. only clearance issue was on the valve cover but easily "modified".

What kind of modifying did you have to do? Do you think these "modified" valve covers would made the turbo fit without modifying anything?

I just upgraded to a S400 BW turbo with a 4" DP. I had to trim a little of the under hood brace

Re: What turbo are you guys using with your BBS headers?

they should make a kit with 1 3/4 1/2 flanges and a mount for a t6 exh housing. to fit the third gen . if they did i would proably buy it instead of welding my stailess steel set up right now.

Yeah I basically had to hammer the corner down on the valve cover... not much though. If seen other actually notch it sort of like your link.

Re: What turbo are you guys using with your BBS headers?

I have a 62-1, but i think its at it max. So i am going to be upgrading to a turbonetics T-76. The one that is the same dimensions as the 62-1. So i know it will fit. Then we'll see if the ole L98 will hold together for some single digit passes.

Re: What turbo are you guys using with your BBS headers?

^ That Mustang had a horrible reaction time, and an even worse sixty foot. Did you see the rubber he was running out back, it appeared he was running the stock rims w/tires for crying out loud. He should have been in the elevens, but either way though, he was still no match for the Grand National....
