Re: Who has the pics of that ebay twin build??

Good luck with the accessory brackets.. looks like a PITA to find anything that will work with this setup. I think the SSautochrome style headers are putting the turbos too far forward. needs to be more of a shorty type header and move the turbos back alittle bit.

Re: Who has the pics of that ebay twin build??

the accesories is what Im working on now, it was a bit of a mission installing the power steering system, I have abracket that will put a sanden ac compressor right above the passenger side header, the the header on the driver side comes up instead of down, so I have to find or create a bracket for the alternator to bring it higher. John can create brackets for me worst case. I know I can fit the radiator after installing the turbos, I may have to put the fans infront instead of behind radiator tho. We will see.

theres plenty of room in the front of the car.. you can move the rad support few inches forward to move entire rad forward to have fans on back side of the rad like its suppose to.

Re: Who has the pics of that ebay twin build??

I was told that before, I will definatly look into it. I wanted to run the intake the same way u did and use the same intercooler too, but Im keeping the stock front latch for the hood. Im thinking I could still do it just like you did just have to go to the side with it to avoid the hood latch. Thats so far off in the future havnt given it that much thought yet.

Do you know if anyone else done it with these headers? Ive been trying to find a pic of this done to get ideas.

Lee, if you didn't bolt those heads down yet, got thew flow bench now and should see if I can pull a few more CFM's from them

The battery tray mod is the same way I ran my cold pipes to the intercooler, but my cut was a little neater 3" hole saw worked great.

I was trying to keep the front latch at first but found it difficult to get the piping to work around that latch. Not sure how you would do it.

Already torqued down john, so whatever we get we get, believe me at this point I'll be happy when its just done! lol

The routing of the intake piping is going to be interesting. I still got no idea

John we prob gonna have to make a bracket for the alternator on the driver side, I can find one. Gotta do that plexi glass rough draft like your other friend did I guess, I dont know where to start with that..... :/

Re: Who has the pics of that ebay twin build??

We used the ebay SSautochrome/XS power long style headers on my dad's turbo build. It turned out pretty good for what it is.

Not the prettiest looking system but it works well. We mocked the system up on a parts car 1st, then put it into his car as a non intercooled set up, then went back and added an intercooler and better looking cold side plumbing

Here's some pics.

We did have to dimple the driver's side header to gain clearance around steering shaft,. Also cut the top part of core support and moved the rad closer to bumper by about 1.5 to 2 inchs

Re: Who has the pics of that ebay twin build??

Thanks for the pics! Really helps alot, I noticed no intercooler, how much horsepower do you think is sacrificed if you dont intercool a twin turbo v8 that is push around 10-12 psi boost? I might consider loosing 15-20 HP to simplify my life right now.

Meth inject it, that IS a form of intercooling, and you don't need all that large plumbing.

It depends. It could mean the difference between breaking pistons or only losing 20HP. It all depends on how close you are on the engine to detonating.
