Nice, I like how it's all mandrel bent tubing and the way you used standard facing headers. Do you have your downpipe fabricated yet? Also, have you thought about moving the air dam forward so that it's flush with the front of the intercooler? It looks like it would direct the incoming air better that way.

Re: some partially fabbed hotside pics, and few others

i have not had any real issues with overheating yet with the intercooler like that but i think i will move it forward a little bit to allow air up into the radiator also. we'll see ive only got about 20-30miles on the car with the "old" turbo setup...

i dont think i have many pics of the fuel system other then whats on here i can try and get some... its the aeromotive 'blowthru' system...a1000, boost ref. fuel press.reg., etc...
its a 16 gallon plastic cell, sumped with a -10an outlet, i made a "frame" to cradle the cell out of 1/2x1/2" and 1x1" square tube. it was a pain. and took along time..if i had to do it again i probably would have paid for a sumped stock style tank. my cell is held in really solid, and doesnt hang low or anything, but as far as making it legal for track tech inspection is a pain in the neck, ive got to make ahinged sheet metal cover for it or something........

Re: some partially fabbed hotside pics, and few others

im going to make a half circle notch in the firewall behind the passneger side header collector. and its going to be 3 1/2", i'll probably use a single 3 1/2" bullet muffler right about where the factory cat was and then head towards the rear along the driveshaft and most likely dump it at the axle. that the plan anyways..

Looks good. I want your turbo! Want to trade, mines good for 10.7's. haha j/k. Nice work. As far as the airdam goes, mines in the stock location and my intercooler is exactly where yours is and it works fine. When i make a pass, i can feel one side of the intercooler is hot and the other is cold, so air flows thro for sure.

Re: some partially fabbed hotside pics, and few others

um, maybe some water/meth/alky injection... moneys tight, works slowed down alotttt... i have an old Nitrous Express wet nitrous kit i was thinking of converting/fabbing into a intercooler spray bar kit just for the track, but im not sure...

also dont know what exactly im doing for a shortblock, i really wanted to run a built motor this year but i cant afford it right now and didnt wanna half-*** it, so i may just throw another stock short block in it with some steel head gaskets and my small turbo cam and keep the boost conservative...

Re: some partially fabbed hotside pics, and few others

hey gotta run what you can, i here ya on shlt being slow. this time last year i was thinking id have my new short block together and running boost by about now. a nitrous cooled intercooler cant be to hard to fab at home.

honestly i think you can get away with some good numbers on a stock mild rebuild with some good pistons and flow. make that turbo do the work.
