is it hard for you? YES
possible? YES
Worth it? NO
if u have no prior exp with any turbo or even know how they work, dont mess with it.
build u a strong 350ci motor with vortec or better heads.

Re: turbo????

You have a turbo from a tiny Datsun engine, yup you guessed it, you need 2 or more of them turbos for your 305ci. Is it worth the work? You have to ask yourself........do you want to go fast? That will determine if it is worth it or not.

Re: turbo????

negative

not even a pair of trim toyota ct26 will be enuff to feed a stock 305
those are some of the best oem turbos. perhaps a pair of trim GN turbos will work.
if u want to work with a good oem turbo, the holsets of cummins work. but not the wg'd vband versions.
look for the t4 remote wg of 94-97 5.9 cummins

im no expert, but i have around 11 yrs. of turbo diesel engine repair and assembly. the H1E holset turbos will support around 500bhp on gas engine. a pair of GN turbos will support around 400bhp on v8 engine.
the H1E is t4 non wg with with 22 cm exhaust turbine, its a/r is around 1.00.
with a holset h1e my 95 355 z28 lt1 with stock heads, intake and manifold single turbo made 415rwhp without tune, and fmu. stock opti, with msd wires and coil. thru m6
and that was in like 99'
dam! been a while. i dynoed at some bigtime import place in town at the time the had a new dynojet chassis dyno
