I only have slightly less than 3" of clearance. Any other options?

I run the low pro procharger hat. I am having problems tuning my car cause of it. Hats make a huge difference in how the car acts. If i were to do it Again i would go with the EV hat. I am buying one here soon. Not what you wanted to here but its the truth. The low pro hat will work and if you could get away with running the spacer would be your best bet.

Re: Which carb hat?

I know this sounds stupid but there are some really fast GN's that claim they got rid of turbo surge by putting those stupid Tornados in the MAF tubes. Wonder if the same thing in front of the carb hat might improve the air flow through the low profile hats. Yea I know

Re: Which carb hat?

ProCharger's low-profile carb hat is only 2" tall. Their taller carb hats are only 2.75" tall. The taller the hat is, the more time the air has to straighten out before going in to the carb, making it easier to tune.

Re: Which carb hat?

The EV hat is great, but I have heard that for 8-10 psi, the spectre hat is fine and tuning isn't a problem.

One guy is going 119 mph in the 1/8 with this hat.....$69 at pepboys?

Re: Which carb hat?

Since I can't use one of the good hats I am going with the cheap one. Will see what happens. Thanks for all the input.
