| Re: Powerstroke 7.3L turbo on 383? It will work, you just won't be happy with it IMO. It is a T3 flange turbo with a 1.15AR on the exaust side. If you are looking for big power it would be best to get like a Master Power T76 for a 383. The free part is pretty good though. Thing is, if you want to build some good power with a better turbo later, you'll have to cut the crossover apart to build for the T4 or T6 turbo you want.
The Blow Off Valve releases the pressure on the intake side of the system when the trottle body closes.
A waste gate is used on the exhaust side of the system to control the amount of boost that the turbo makes.
Those are very basic explanations, but a search should help you out more!
