another supercharger question... please help!!

Last week i bought a paxton supercharger for my 86 tpi iroc. It was supposed to be a complete kit, but it was not. I had do find/buy a few hardware parts but finally the install it's almost done. My question is, how long do the spacers have to be to mount the bracket? the manual says 4.5" do I cut two pieces out of tube, but now my accesorie's belt does not align. My power steering and the idler pulley align but the rest of the accesories don't, do i need a longer spacer? or do i have to pull the powers steering and idler pulleys back a little so they can align? but, if i do so the supecharger will most likely rub on the accesories belt...

also, where can i find a belt for the supercharger? can i just get one from an auto parts store? if so, whats the part number?

and finally, I am running a serpentine set up whith a holley stealth ram and going to install 30lb injectors and will be pushing 7-8 pounds of boost, so most likely i need a tune, right?

here's the picture i will get you the number of the belt i run after i have to go look but you can get it at any parts store if you want to make the most power out of your setup you should geta tune if you use tuning chips or have someone that knows what they are doing to burn one the brackets should match when you put the spacers in since the supercharger mounts to the alt and p/s bracket on top good luck

Re: another supercharger question... please help!!

hey bro thanks for the reply, but my problem is that when i put the 4 1/2" spacers that i had to custom made, the serpentine belt does not align to the bank 2 accesories. i think i had to cut them to like 4 7/8" so they can align good,i hope it works

my other problem is that i dont have the upper and lower support braces so more custom fab needed.

i hope i can get it done this weekend and i would appretiate if you can get me the part number for the belts or just how long it needs to be.

Re: another supercharger question... please help!!

ok since i had underdrive pulleys before, the crank pulley is too small for the supercharger pulley, so i went to the junk yard and found a pulley from a tbi 5.7. i bolted it to the balancer and the pulley does not align to my other accesories!!!? is like 1/4" off. isnt the same pulley as the tpi? or does the balancer has something to do? damn...

Re: another supercharger question... please help!!

what year paxton kit did you buy because the bracket shown is for the serp belt setup 1988 to 1992 to mount on the driverside and i see you have a 86 camaro the paxton mounts on the pass side of the motor.

Re: another supercharger question... please help!!

its the one that uses the serpentine set up. i used to have the v-belt set up but updated to the serp set up like a year ago without problems now im having lots of problems trying to install these kit, mostly belt alignment problems. i would have to make bigger spacers or use a few washers. but what about the crank pulley? tbi and tpi dont use the same pulley?
