Can't find colder shorty plugs
I'm finally installing the B&M blower and I don't think they sell colder shorty plugs than what I'm using (0574S). Its a goodwrench motor (8:1cr) with an XE262-4 camshaft. Any idea if these plugs'll be fine with the blower? I should be able to read them right?

Those are the shorty accel plugs right? If so they are heat range 4, stock is 6 so you are two steps colder. depending on how much boost you run you should be ok. My buddy is running heat range 4's on 16lbs from an intercooled procharger and it is working great.

Sweet, good to hear, Its weird that for some reason Jeg's recommended this cold of a plug for this stockish low compression motor.

Yeah, it's running pretty good on heat range 4. Try the Autolite plugs. They have an installed height just as short as the Accel shorty plugs and are much easier to get. NGK plugs were just as short as well but not available to me locally in heat range 4.

The easiest way to find them is go to Summitracing and look up all the heat range 4 plugs from the manufacturer you want in the correct size and reach and then go to the local parts store and compare them to the installed height of the Accel shorties. That's how we found the Autolites for the 92 and a set of NGK's for the 88 to replace the Accel shorties.

Good to know. I started to compare heat ranges between the 2 and found with NGK lower means hotter and vice versa for Accel. Confusing, but I can cross reference them.
