401 Twin Turbo start up vid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjDyKQftSqc

It runs for now but soo much more to do with the tune. Its coming around but taking longer than I expected. Trying to get the hang of this code $59 stuff. Idle is a touch higher than wanted, at about 950-1000 rpm now, hoping for a bit softer lopier 850 or so but I cant complain with 80lb injectors.

Car isnt as quiet as i expected for a lower compression motor and a less agressive cam. Well i guess a 233/233 on a 112 with .564" lift isnt that mild but its a 401 motor. My 383 had a 230/245 on a 109 with over .600 but with 11 to 1 compression. Same exhaust on this car minus long tubes basically. Muffler back is same as last year, just new y pipe but still 3" tubes to 4" single dynomax ultraflo round

Looks killer man. You have definately stepped it up to a new level. I'm probably gonna be leavin the 3rd gens soon. I want to build a 418 Blower motor for my challenger. So I've already sold my procharger off my camaro. Next thing to go is the boxes of and boxes of parts and the car.

Wow great looking setup! Looks like you are having a much better time with Code 59 than I did. If I could have gotten mine to run I'd already be driving around with the turbo on mine, but had to take the megasquirt detour and spent my funds on that stuff. Anyway, from the looks and sound of that car, it should be a real runner! Can't wait to see some more vids of it.

Very nice, how do you like the SHP block? I am thinking of Dart SHP or Motown as I have Motown 220 heads. Good luck BEAUTIFULL CAR

SHP block is a nice block. Great deal for the price I think. Its setup like a factory OEM roller block but its much stronger. Plus it comes in a 400 bore so its a better platform to build a 400-406 sbc off of than a gm block.

Given the choice, I probably should have went with those.

Lot of machine work and 'fixes' to my GM 400 block. Then special lifters to make it roller if I want to do that.

I'm a little screwed on the came due to rod clearance. I think most roller cams will whack the rod, even flat tappet cam I need a small base circle.
