Re: Help with NOS system plz

I recommend you run a wet kit. How big of a hit do you want to run?

Most importantly make sure your ignition system and your fuel system is up to par. Along with your engine not being completely beat to crap.

The NOS plate kit is 575ish from summit. You can peice together a system cheaper though. New soleniods are a bit pricy, if you buy used solenoids I highly recommend getting a rebuild kit and rebuilding them unless you get them from someone you trust. It would def suck to have the N20 solenoid open and the fuel one not. You can run a plate or a nozzle. When you wire your solenoids use a relay, they do draw a bit of power and will toast switches pretty easily. If you have a manual a window switch is a must, it's a good safety precaution with an auto also. A fuel pressure safety switch is a good back up also. Activate the system with a WOT switch.

Plates are great, but you can do it cheaper with a fogger nozzle. If you stay less than a 150 shot you can stick with -4 main line no problem. A purge is a good idea, if you don't then the first hit after opening the bottle kinda stutters because you get fuel and no nitrous for the first sec or two.

Run the main line OUTSIDE of the car, if the line burst for some reason you don't want that thing going off inside your car plus it's against the rules at the track, not that they will make you pull your carpet up. Also a blow down tube is mandatory for track use and a very smart idea. You do not want a bottle exploding in your car, I have seen pics and basically you just donated your car to the salvage yard if it happens.

Re: Help with NOS system plz

what is a window switch? is it for when you shift?
will a FP safty switch keep the nos sol. from opening if the fuel sol. does not
what about wiring them in series or something?
