Tips for installing P600 Procharger

I have a 1989 Camaro with a 1991 l98 running the stock computer and speed density system. I just bought a truck that has and older style Ati P600 Procharger on it and i want to put the supercharger on my car next summer. I just dont know what i need to do to get the engine to run right with the supercharger.

do i need a inline fuel pump? better in tank ? fmu? different injectors? new chip? 2 bar map sensor? anything else?

any sugestions or advice would be great. let me know what everyone thinks.

Re: Tips for installing P600 Procharger

The procharger kit comes with a booster pump and FMU. From my research the recommended injector's are 24lb SVO fuel injector because the factory ones tend to lock up under the added fuel pressure from the FMU. The stock tune doesn't recognize a 2 bar map, so unless you load code 58 or one of the other ones that are out there you do not need anything but the stock 1 bar. Obviously you would benefit from a tune, but don't go to an aftermarket chip, ie Jet, because they add timing and that is the opposite of what you want to do when running boost.

I personally am putting in a walbro 255 with the racetronix kit and a kenne bell booster instead of running the procharger inline pump. You definitely want to have a solid fuel system.

Bigger injectors, walbro 255hp pump, 3bar map and a WBO2 and www.code59.org
