Thanks for the help!

I started a Procharger project on my Buick last year. I got a lot of help and good ideas from this forum. I just need to get the bypass valve set up and will finally have some boost applied. So thanks for all of the help even though it was not a Camaro.

I know the carb hat is not the best but has to wait for a new hood before I can change it.

Re: Thanks for the help!

Nice job! The install looks clean. Are you concerned that the air filter is directly above your headers? Did you modify the carb for boost yourself?

Re: Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the compliments. Still working on the carb. I may be better off selling it and buying a smaller carb already setup for blow through. According to Procharger a 950HP, basically brand new, should work fine for low boost. Not sure I believe that.

Not worried about the pulling air from above the headers. One, the opening at the wheel wells is quite large and next to the air cleaner. Two, I have a 4"core intercooler and the air that comes out feels like it is refrigerated. Nice thing about a big ole A-body is there is lots of room to put stuff in. I think a 70 Monte would be a great car to run a big block Chevy supercharged with all that space up front.

As far as specs, the motor is a 462 CI (7.6L ) 70 Buick. All ARP studs and bolts, balanced, forged pistons, ported stage 1 heads, SP-1 single plane manifold, headers, Cometic .070 head gaskets to get the compression down to 9.2:1. Also has all the oil mods that a Buick needs and a 7 qt Postons girdled oil pan (no longer available.) If you need more pics there is a thread here http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=185358 Best place for Buick info but not that many that run a Procharger.

I saw a 69 Z28 this summer that had a F1 Procharged 572 in it. Had a Tremic in it and the owner said he runs 28 pounds of boost Not sure if I believed that but was a bad a$$ed Camaro

You have a good site here with real car guys and not a lot of BS. I will keep in touch and let you know how it runs.
