Well, my current setup is a zz 383 crate motor 425hp with 460ftlbs flywheel with a superram intake, bbk 52mm throttle body, and a d1sc procharger. I was thinking of removing the d1sc procharger completely and trying to just go all motor. Is my motor capable of making 450rwhp without the blower. would a bigger cam be able to do this power increase. here is the break down on my motor:
- 4340 forged crank
- forged rods
- hypercautic pistons 9.5 to 1
- 222/230@50 509/528 with 112
- dougs long tubes
- Fast burn heads with gm 1.5 roller rockers
- stage II stewart water pump
- accel superram unported
- bbk 52 mm throttlebody
- 42lb svo injectors
currently making 400rwhp with blower but the procharger is just giving me a headache i am thinking all motor might be a little bit more streetable. any ideas?

for all motor u will need better cylinderheads, solid roller cam and more compression.
Is it just me or does 400 RWHP on a D1 procharged setup seem low??? My friends 305 (YES 305) with a D1SC is putting down 381rwhp. I've seen his dyno sheet, seen the video and know his setup. Stock bottom end, just world products heads and headers. Stock TPI intake.

How much boost was the car puttin out at peak? What was the AFR? I'm taking a guess in thinking you might have been running lean with those injectors possibly. Did you just put a "chip" in, have someone else tune or did you DIY tune ?
You mean 5 to 6 PSI right? The 42's could be a bit small. There's tons of calculators around to determine that. I run 60#'s and know I won't run out of fuel.
