LS1 Nos Dry kit 1577 on a tpi

i can get a nos dry kit # 1577 for dirt cheap(around 300). BUt it is for an ls1. I kno i can drill the airbox but would the maf on out cars compensate and add fuel like the ls1s do or are the too old fashioned. Also what would be involed in convertin it to a wet plate kit. thanks

Sorry MyBlackRocZ but the 3 rd gen MAF's are totally different then the newer cars. You can however get a LT1 dry kit and use it on your car, just not the one that sprays before the MAF

Actually the part # is 5177. This system was designed for the LS1 to be sprayed in front of the MAF and then the computer compensates for necessary fuel. Won't happen in our cars. Computer and MAF is too slow and ineffecient to adjust. Don't worry though, your kit can be used with a few necessary parts. Basically you'll need to convert the kit to an LT1 system. Shouldn't cost too much more. My suggestion is to get a set of instructions from an LT1 kit and compare the parts you have to the check list in the instructions. Then order everything you don't have. HTH!!
