A guy i work with drives an 87 GN. He heard about this thing called a plenum, which is some kind of plate that fits on his intake and smooths the air-flow and reduces lag... When i think of plenum i think of my TPI. He was explaining some plate with different slots and holes cut out... You guys ever hear of this mod???? Is it worth his money??

The RJC Power Plate. It goes BENEATH the plenum. I put one on my dads GN along with the Precision Plenum (according to the maker the best setup). Unfortunatly, I can't give any real results, as there have been a lot of problems with the car, not due to the plate. Most Buick guys like em, they're about $50 and while results vary, most have been able to get an extra lb or two of boost in before knock.

Definitely worthwhile mod. For 50 bucks you can't go wrong and anything that evens out the airflow to all the cylinders, especially to those rear two.

the PP is a very good mod because is distributes the air evenly.

Goes between upper( dog house ) and lower plenum.

All of my plugs burn even and the 02 #'s are the same. 93 pump gas after the install and I ran 18psi 0.0KR on street..... Strip... same set up I ran 12.91. @108 0.0kr bad short time of 1.99 and that was the first time out.

Thrasher 92, THDP,TA49, 50# inj., street tires,and restalled stock vert.

Yes it's worth it.

You gotta tune for the leanest cylinders. This kinda puts all the cylinders on the same playing field so to speak(for lack of a better term)

I also have one on my car and it seems to work well. And dont belive anybody that tries to tell you it's a restriction in airflow, the maker of the peice has gone 9.96@133 with it and I've personally gone 10.69@125.8 with it. I think it's one of the reasons I've been able to run so well on pumpgas too, at 19psi, nothing but 93 octane in the tank, and 0.0 knock I've gone 11.20@119 w/1.55 60ft and 11.22@120 w/1.58 60ft.
