Toying with the idea of adding a single turbo to my mostly stock (stock L98 cam w/ 1.6 rr's and bolt ons) and I was wondering if anyone is running a set up like this? If so, what engine management system are you running? Turbo size? Performance gains? Drivability? Temps in traffic? I still need to get through an emissions test. Its a cruiser, so I would be happy to get up around 400hp/500 tq and still retain drivability.

Completey stock 130k tpi 5.7 went 7.89 on radials in my Iroc. Setup was Megasquirt, 65 lb/hr injectors (large because of future plans), Walbro 255 in tank, MSD 6AL, intercooled 13.5 psi, Vigilante 2800 stall, pro-built internals in the 700r4 and 3.27:1 rear. Never made amazing numbers at the dyno but was very pleased with consistent 7.9x passes. Saw decent mileage in the low 20's.

I have a new engine now but still a completely stock TPI intake (except for polishing). Still fighting this one trying to get it making good numbers. Kinda wish I'd left the stock engine in it. I found out after the fact that the total ignition advance was lower than reported by the megasquirt in higher rpm. The combo always felt like it could have gone faster than it was.
