Custom Y-pipe and crossmember for longtubes and T5 - SOLD

This Y-pipe fits cars with a T5 and Hooker 2210 or Doug's longtube headers. I also have a custom made double-hump trans crossmember that was made from a factory x-member. This y-pipe had great ground clearance even on my lowered car.

$150 for both the Y-pipe and crossmember.

Hrmm That is pretty cool. I imagine the cross member was made on a jig so the trans height (pinion angle) wasn't messed up?

Any pix of the setup in the car showing ground clearance?

Re: Custom Y-pipe and crossmember for longtubes and T5

To be honest, I have no idea how the cross member was made. I bought it from another member on here about a year ago. It's definitely a cool setup and it fit great. The only reason I'm selling is because the T5 is gone and I have a T56 now.

And unfortunately I never took a picture of it in the car. But very rarely did I run into any ground clearance issues, and my car is lowered 1.5" The headers will scrape before the y-pipe will. It tucks up very nice.

I was asking $150 before shipping, but I can box everything up and see how much it would cost if you're interested.

Replied to your PM. Let me know.

I've got pretty much the same y-pipe setup, but mine goes under the cross member which is stupid. I was going to cut and redo everything, but if the price is right to my door it will save me a few hours of cutting and welding.

3" pipes into a Flowmaster 3" into 4" Y collector that reduces down to a single 3"

Re: Custom Y-pipe and crossmember for longtubes and T5 - SOLD

What style trans mount did you use?

Just got around to trying this. The two bolts on the trans mount hit the flat part of the cross member. i see in the pix it hit on yours two, but on mine I have a good 1/2" or more before the bottom of the mount seats.

I don't care - mind you, I'll probably just take the torch to it and blow two holes to clear the bolt. But I'm curious what you used for a mount.

I really hope these 2210 long tubes fit with my scattershield. I can barely fit my fist between it and the frame, I don't know how the heck the collector is fitting their..
